It's a five string electric octave/baritone mandolin, made by Ron Oates, and mandolins come in many different variations and with a number of different strings. 10 strings, 8 strings, 5 strings, even sometimes 4 strings. Theres even a banjo mandolin.

its not a guitar its a 5 string baritone mandolin, its an electric mandolin tuned 5 steps down on the octave. all that really matters is that he absolutely kills it and we should be very grateful to have him and the boys back! its goin to be a cheesy summer!

Video quality and productions values seem pretty good. I'm hoping they release this show on DVD or Blu-Ray though. I want to be able to watch it on my TV.
A 5.1 mix would be icing on the cake as well... I would be willing to pay $30 for something like that.
